We have the same thoughts as Fleur, we thoroughly enjoyed his company. Such a shock his death.

My life was all the richer for knowing Allan and Sonia. I was one of the many architectural students of Allan's, introduced to a humane form of architecture - created for man, not machine - by Allan. I've had the pleasure and good fortune of a continued friendship with the Konya's for well over four decades, as we both moved to the UK. Thank you Allan for all you've meant to me in my life's journey, all the wisdom and insights you've shared with me along the way. Your curiosity and interest in life and humankind was remarkable, and I was struck by your planning your next book the last time I saw you both. But no thanks to Allan would be complete without a deep thank you to you, Sonia, always loving, always by Allan's side. Allan will be sorely missed by all of us. May he rest in peace. With much love, Shirin Elahi

I struggle to find the words at present however what I do know is that Allan was a passionate, interesting and loving man who will be so missed by many and forever loved xxx
